Opal M. (Davidson) Shortridge

Opal M. Shortridge, age 81, of Sidney, passed away April 21, 2018, at the Fair Haven Nursing Home in Sidney. She was born June 21, 1936 in Pemberton, to the late Clarence and Edith (Coyle) Davidson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Shortridge.

Opal is survived by children; Tina Anthony of Minster, Steve Shortridge of Sidney, Randy Shortridge of St. Mary’s, Ruth Ann DeVine of Zansfield, Ohio, Cliff (Jennifer Campbell) Shortridge of Sidney, 14 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.  Also surviving are brother, Ralph (Jan) Davidson of Pemberton and sister, Lillian Cook of Sidney.

She was employed at the Murphy Store in Sidney for many years.  She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, making jewelry, and fishing.  She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Private funeral services will be held at the discretion of the family.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of choice in Opal’s memory.
