MICHAEL J. VANDERHORST, age 43, of Sidney passed away on Friday, December 1, 2017 at his residence. He was born in Sidney on September 12, 1974 to Glenn and Dana (Boblit) Vanderhorst, who survive and reside in Minster. On July 19, 2001, he married Amy (Shaffer) Vanderhorst and she survives.
Michael is also survived by two children: Aarron (Meghan) Vanderhorst of Sidney and Whitney (Franklin) Gonzales Varela of Jacksonville, NC; one brother: Mark Vanderhorst of Columbus; one sister: Meranda (Mark) Jones of Sidney; and many aunts and uncles.
Michael was a 1994 graduate of Sidney High School. He was a photographer. Michael enjoyed hiking, spending time outdoors, running, biking and tennis. He was an avid OSU and Columbus Blue g fan. Michael was a manager at Ewie.
Memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at Adams Funeral Home in Sidney with Rev. Darcy Dill officiating. Friends may call from 4:00 – 6:00 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
