Mary K. Ammon, age 95, of Jackson Center, passed away July 19, 2018, at her residence.
She was born April 27, 1923, in Jackson Center, to the late Lewis and Eileen Mary (Rohrbaugh) Wildermuth. On September 12, 1943, she married Waldo R. Ammon Sr. who preceded her in death.
Mary is survived by son, Waldo R.(Pam) Ammon Jr. and daughter, Mary E. (Fred) Shoffner, both of Jackson Center, three grandchildren and one sister-in-law, Eleanor Ammon of Bellefontaine. One granddaughter preceded her in death.
Mary was a member of the St. Jacobs Lutheran Church in Jackson Center. She retired from Plasticpak in Jackson Center and also worked as a waitress at Kinningers Restaurant in Botkins. Mary loved her many friends and friends of her church. She was so happy when she received cards from her church members and visits from Pastor Shannon, Pastor Sanders, Rosie and Judy. She was a very good mother and worked hard all of her life. Mary was loved by so many. To the people who made her happy, we are so thankful.
Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, July 24, 2018, from 4 – 6:00 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Jacobs Lutheran Church, in Jackson Center with Pastor David Sanders officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Tabor Cemetery in Gutman, Ohio.
