Karen Renee Johnson

KAREN RENEE JOHNSON, age 55, of Sidney and formerly of Piqua, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 2, 2018, at 11:04 P.M. in Piqua, Ohio. She was born on December 27, 1962 in Troy, OH to the late Bertha Farno. She married Robert R. Johnson Sr. on May 31, 1998 in Sidney, Ohio and he survives.

Karen is also survived by three daughters and one son-in-law; LaTasha and Chris Smith, Piqua, OH; Somer Garrett, Cincinnati, OH; and Irene Jacobs, Sidney, OH and one son: Robert R. Johnson Jr., Sidney, OH.

Three sisters; Margaret and Gary Root, Piqua, OH; Jean and Rob Wall, Piqua, OH; and Jacque and Jon Spitler. West Milton, OH; 15 grandchildren; Torie Garrett, Isaiah Smith, Tayshaun Smith, Sarah Wright, Emmalee Wright, Chloe Marcum, Taylor Richmond, Tesa Richmond, Aubrey Richmond, Kieara Johnson, Viviea Johnson, Cameron Richards, Georgi Richmond, Julie Richmond and I’Kierus Johnson.  She was preceded in death by one sister: Kathy Lee.

Karen graduated from Houston High School and attended Edison Community College and Urbana University. She loved to go shopping and garage sales, gardening, going to casinos and spending time with her family. Karen was a loving and dedicated homemaker.

A celebration of Karen’s life will be held Friday, August 10, 2018 at 7:00 P.M. at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney, with Pastor Gary Wagner and Pastor Willie T. McGee officiating.  The family will receive friends on Friday from 5 – 7 P.M. at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Graceland Cemetery in Sidney, Ohio.
