June Young Obituary
June Monnin Young, age 89, of Sidney, passed away peacefully on October 16th, 2018 at 2:51pm at Wilson Health.
She was born on May 25th, 1929 in Russia, Ohio, the daughter of the late Norbert Monnin and Bertha (Pepiot) Monnin.
On August 2nd, 1958, June married the late Richard (Dick) Young; She is survived by her children. Jeanne (Curt) Gross of Dandridge, TN, Judy (Larry) Shoffner of Sidney, Bob Grillot of Celina, Randy (Michelle) Young of Anna, Ron (Angie) Young of Sidney, Rick (Karen) Young of Sidney, Don (Kathy) Young of Huntingburg, IN; 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. She is also survived by 4 siblings, Richard, Carol, Shirley, and Lindy.
She was proceeded in death by her son John Young and 5 siblings, John, Kermit, Denis, Donald Monnin, and Emily Grillot.
June Young was a member of the Holy Angels Church. She was retired from Superior Metals in Wapak. She also loved to bake cookies for her family, sew doll clothes, and was an avid reader. She also loved her dog, Snoopy.
Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday October 19th at 10:30 AM at The Holy Angels Church in Sidney. There will be a graveside service at 1:00 p.m. at Pearl Cemetery in Anna.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shriner’s Hospital, 100 Conn Ter, Lexington, Ky. 40508, in June’s memory.
