Josefina R. (Vargas) Strunk

Josefina R. Strunk, age 59, of Sidney, passed away February 21, 2018, at her residence.

She was born March 19, 1958 in Carrizo Springs, Texas, to the late Celedonia and Isabel Vargas.  She married Roger Strunk, March 19, 1976, in Chicago, Illinois.

Josefina is survived by children; Maggie Strunk, Burnard (Sherry) Strunk, Jessy R. (Heather) Strunk, Marie I. Strunk, all of Sidney, grandchildren; Ellen, Kayli, Matthew, Gaven, Allison, Brittany, Carter, Nevaeh, Camren, Alexander, and great granddaughter, Maddie. She was also loved by many brothers and sisters, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

She was a member of the Solid Rock Pentecostal Church in Sidney. She worked at Sapa in Sidney. She liked to play bingo, camping, cooking, especially making tamales.  She loved spending time with her family, grandchildren and great grandchild.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Friends and family may call on Sunday, February 25, 2018, from 2 – 5 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 26, 2018, at the Solid Rock Pentecostal Church in Sidney with Pastor Rodney Reynolds officiating. Interment will be at Graceland Cemetery, Sidney.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Solid Rock Pentecostal Church in Josefina’s memory.
