Jerry Lynn Massie, age 63, of Sidney, passed away October 25, 2017, at Lima Memorial Hospital, Lima.
He was born December 4, 1953 in Wooster, Ohio, to the late Clarence and Betty Jean (Garver) Massie.
On April 21, 2001, he married Darla A. (Snead) Ellis and she survives.
Jerry is survived by sons, Chad and Jeremy Van Driest of Ashland, Travis Massie of West Salem, Ohio, daughters, Michelle Massie of Alabama, Jenny Lynn Berkey of Akron, Desiree Massie of Akron, step-sons, Clint Ellis of Piqua, Michael Ellis of Quincy, many grandchildren and great-granchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Also surviving is sister, Nancy Morgan of Nashville, Tn., Beverly Crebs of Ashland and significant other, Roger Robertson.
He was preceded in death by brother, Raymond “Rod” Massie.
Jerry was of the Methodist faith. He was self employed. He loved spending time restoring, and detailing old cars and reselling them. He was an avid electronic poker player.
Family and friends may call on Monday, October 30, 2017 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor James Carnes Jr., officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to help offset funeral expenses.
