Jeff B. Sturgill

Jeff B. Sturgill, age 57, of Sidney, passed away on April 12, 2017.

He was born September 8, 1959 in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late Billy B. Sturgill and Lucy Lewis Mullins. She survives in Sidney along with step-father Lovell Mullins.

Jeff is survived by step-children; Shawn Gessler and Chad (Brook) Gessler of Sidney, sisters; Susan (Doug) Roby of Sidney, Kim (Brian) Hendershot of Sidney, Billie (Donny) Branam of Piqua, Melissa Sturgill and fiance’ Ricky Bigelow of Waynesfield, Amy (Tony) Renner of Louisville, Ky. and Michelle Lundy of Piqua.

He was preceded in death by his brother Bryan Sturgill and step-father, Al Godda.

Jeff proudly served in the U S Army.  He attended Sidney High School and was an over the road truck driver. He was employed by Xpo Freight in Sidney. He loved to ride his motorcycle.  He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed camping. He treasured his time spent with his family and friends and having fun with his nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may visit on Sunday, April 16, 2017, from 4 – 6 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 17, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with Rev. Harold McKnight officiating. Internment will follow at Graceland Cemetery, Sidney, with a full military service by American Legion Post 217.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to one’s charity of choice in Jeff’s memory.
