James Michael Bruggeman

James Michael Bruggeman, age 74, of Sidney, passed away Sunday, November 4, 2018 at his residence.  

He was born November 30, 1943 in Sidney to the late Frank Joseph and Mildred May (Brown) Bruggeman.  James was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara A. (Heck) Bruggeman, son, James M. Bruggeman II , granddaughter, Heather LeMaster, and three sisters.

He is survived by daughters; Tonya Smith of Ft. Smith, Arkansas, Drema LeMaster of Sidney, Shellie Bruggeman of Sidney, Jennifer (Anthony) Stallard of Sidney, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, and brother, Frank (Cindy) Bruggeman.

James proudly served in the U S Army. He was a truck driver for many years. He loved to ride his bicycle around town and talk with his many friends. He had never met a stranger. He will be greatly missed by his family and his many, many friends.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2018, at 2:30 p.m. at Glen Cemetery in Port Jefferson with Rev. Tim Bartee, officiating.  Full military honors will be performed by the American Legion Post #217.
