Helen C. Wells, age 98, of Anna, passed away May 1, 2017, at Fairhaven Nursing Home, Sidney.
She was born on October 3, 1918 on a farm near Jackson Center to the late W.F. and Mary (Wildermuth) Regula. Helen married Richard E. Wells on March 2, 1940. He preceded her in death February 9, 1977.
Helen is survived by sons; William (Doris) Wells, Jack (Ester) Wells of Anna, grandchildren; Curtis (Sandy) Wells, William F. (Missy) Wells, Gerald (Mary Ann) Wells, Krista (Greg) Meyer, all of Anna, 13 Great children and 7 great-great grandchildren, sisters; Evelyn Mann of Austin, Tx., and sister-in-law, Ruth Regula of Jackson Center.
Helen was preceded in death by son, Fred (Joyce) Wells, one great grandchild, three sisters and two brothers.
Helen worked as a cook at the Half-Way House between Anna and Botkins and the Holiday Inn in Sidney. She was also a housewife.
Private graveside services will be held on Friday, May 5, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Pearl Cemetery, Swanders, with Rev. Charla Grieves officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jacobs Lutheran Church, 101 W. Main Street, Anna, Ohio 45302 in Helen’s memory.
