Helen Louise Allman, 81 years old of DeGraff, passed away January 12, 2019 at her home surrounded by loved ones. Helen was born in Bel Air, Maryland on April 28, 1937 to the late Graham and Sina (Long) Rutherford. Helen was also preceded in death by five sisters and one brother, one son, Thomas Allman, and one daughter, Erika Allman.
Helen is survived by her husband Okey Allman, whom she’s been married to for 62 years. Married May 31, 1957 in Havre deGrace, Maryland. Helen also survived by one sister and one brother and four children, Judith Smyth, Barbara (Charles) Crall, Michael (Tracy) Allman, Gelinda Allman, and one daughter in law to the late Thomas (Tammy) Allman. Helen had 11 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.
Helen retired from Odd Lots in 1994. Helen loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She loved traveling to West Virginia to the family farm where she enjoys playing rummy with her family. Helen loved to watch soap operas, hallmark movies, and wrestling. Helen will be cremated by the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney, Ohio. Helen’s ashes will be buried in the Rock Cave, West Virginia Cemetery. There will be no services for her.
