Glenna Sue (Davis) Perkins

Glenna Sue Perkins, aged 66, went home to be with the Lord on June 19, 2018. She was born on January 21, 1952, in Jellico, Tennessee to Rev. J. M. Davis, and Ethel R. (Jeffers) Davis, who has preceded her in death. Also, preceding her in death was sisters Mary Etta, and R. Meldia Davis, and brothers Sherman Maxel, James McKinley, and William Everett Davis.

                She is survived by her husband, Robert L. “Bob” Perkins, Sr. of Sidney, Ohio, and they were married in Elk Valley, Tennessee on June 1, 1969, her four sons, Michael, Manuel (Pennie), Robert, Jr., and Matthew (Dreama) Perkins, all of Sidney, Ohio. She had three grandchildren, Kenna, Mason, and Karissa Perkins, all of Sidney, Ohio.

                Glenna’s sisters that survive her are Thelma (Ken) Raleigh of Corbin, KY, Betty (Eithel, Jr.) Warfield of Pine Knot, KY, and Ollie Bunch of Williamsburg, KY, and her younger brother, Paul (Sara) Davis of Pine Knot, KY.

                Glenna had many “adopted” children from all over. She had the knack of being a mother figure to many people along the way. From teaching Sunday School, to just being a listening ear for someone to talk to, Glenna was always there for people to come talk to. She always had a love for people that was incomparable, and would treat them like her own children.  She also had many nieces and nephews to mourn her passing.

                Celebration church service will be held at Adams Funeral Home chapel in Sidney, Ohio on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 10:00 AM. The viewing will be Friday, June 22, 2018 between 5:00-8:00 PM. Ministers are Rev. Jay Walden, Rev. Dennis Martin, and Rev. David Botner. Graveside services and burial will be at Cedar Point Cemetery, Pasco, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family or to Central Bible Ministries.
