Evelyn Marie Allen, age 90, of Sidney, OH, passed away on August 11 2017, at Hospice of Miami County. Evelyn was born on October 5, 1926 in Rossville, IL. Her parents were the late Hiram and Mabel (McKenzie) Driskell. On January 22, 1944, Evelyn married the late William D. Allen.
A son, Mark W. Allen of Sidney, OH along with a daughter-in-law, Pamela J. Allen survives her along with 5 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Evelyn is also survived by a sister Barbara (Eddie) Gibson and a brother Robert (Janet) Driskell. A special gentleman friend, Barney Adams, also survives her.
Evelyn was a homemaker who loved her family. Evelyn also loved to care for all animals, especially cats. Evelyn was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sidney.
Services will be held at the Adams Funeral Home in Sidney, OH. Calling will be held on Monday, August 14, 2017 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM with the funeral to be held on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at 1:00 PM with visitation to be held beginning at 12:00 noon. Burial to follow at Cedar Point Cemetery in Pasco, OH.
