Eric Marsh Lee

Eric Marsh Lee, age 70, of Sidney passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, July 25, 2018. He was born April 20, 1948 in Buchanan County, Virginia to father Emmit Lee and mother Ethel (Belcher) Lee who preceded him in death. He married Brenda Sue (Thompson) Lee on July 3, 1971.

He is survived by son Billy Joe (Tammie Barnett) Lee; grandchildren Aidan Lee and Sandra Lee; brothers Odel Lee, Elganor (Janet) Lee of Homecreek, Virginia, Bobby (Juanita) Lee of Homecreek, Virginia; sisters Emogean Hammons of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Katie (Johnny) Deel of Lebanon, Virginia. He was preceded in death by family members Billy Lee, Leon Whited, Kennith Whited, Timothy Whited, Larry Philip Lee, Nell Owens, Mildred Tackett.

Eric was a Vietnam Veteran in the United States Army. He was a member of the American Legion in Grundy, Virginia. He worked as a coal miner for many years. He was a deacon of the Freewill Baptist Church in Big Rock, Virginia and loved to watch Western movies on television.

Services will be held at Grundy Funeral Home in Grundy, Virginia with burial to follow at Lee Cemetery in Virginia. Adams Funeral Home will be caring for the local needs of the Lee family.
