Douglas L. Rose, age 77, entered the gates of heaven October 1, 2017 at his residence.
He was born December 11, 1939 in Marytown, West Virginia to the late Larry and Effie (Barnett) Rose.
On September 29, 1958, he married the love of his life, Stella (Collins) Rose and they recently celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary.
Douglas is survived by his wife, Stella, children; Wayne (Kim) Rose, Gary Rose, Kenneth Rose, Gail (Rob) Miller all of Sidney, Mike (Kay) Rose of Russia, twelve grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four sisters, three brothers and son, Roger Rose.
Douglas served in the Civil Defense in Sidney. He attended the Solid Rock Church and Wagner Avenue Church of God. He retired from Ross Aluminum in Sidney after 40 years of faithful service. He loved reading the bible and enjoyed gospel music.
Family and friends may call on Thursday, October 5, 2017 from 12:00 to 1:00p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Rodney Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow at Shelby Memory Gardens in Hardin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Miami Valley Chapter, 3797 Summit Glen Drive, Suite G100, Dayton, Ohio 45449 in Douglas’s memory.
