Dorothy L (Clark) Cook

Dorothy L. Cook, age 79 of Sidney, passed away peacefully Tuesday August 14, 2018 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio.  She was born on December 25, 1938 in Stanton, Tennessee to father Theodore Clark and mother Nell (Chaney) Clark who preceded her in death.  She married E. Warren Cook on March 6, 1978 who preceded her in death on March 29, 2016.

Dorothy is survived by children: Deborah (Roger) Beaver of West Milton, Kelly (Dave) Cornett of Sidney, Dan (Leisa) Wade of Sidney, Dawn (Alvin) Cox of Sidney, David (Loretta) Cook of Port Jefferson, Tim and Rick Cook; siblings: James Clark of Sidney, Sarah (Andy) Pequinot of Berry, Texas; brother-in-law Ron Cotterman; grandchildren Rickey Driskell, Bo Driskell, Brian Driskell, Jeremy Wade, Christopher and Patrick Wade, Ashley Cantrell, Jordan Wade, Josh Bodenmiller, Jarvis Bodenmiller, Trenton Wade, Danielle Wade, Emmi Wade, Tony Donahue, Tabby Donahue, Heidi Cox, Erica Cook, Hilary Cook, Jason Cox; numerous nieces and nephews; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by siblings: Martha Cotterman, Harry Clark Sr., Jo Ann Lyme, Sue (Andy) Pequinot, Henry Bynum, George (Ruth) Bynum; sons Robert (Bim) E. Wade Jr., David (Scott) Wade; sister-in-law Jean Clark.

Dorothy loved completing word searches. She enjoyed listening to Gospel music and watched a lot of Channel 7 on T.V. She loved to spend time outdoors and with her family. She enjoyed spending her free time shopping with her friends and was a member of First United Baptist Church in Lockington, Ohio. She was also a past member of Christian Faith Baptist Church. She retired from Copeland after 22 years of faithful service.

Calling hours will be Sunday, August 19, 2018 from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home in Sidney. Services will be held Monday, August 20, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Adams Funeral Home with Pastor Tommy Jones and Pastor Lee Ellis officiating.  Interment will follow at Glen Cemetery in Port Jefferson.
