David L Regula

David L. Regula, age 69, of Maplewood, Ohio, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2019, at 4:04 P.M. at Wilson Health Hospital in Sidney, Ohio.

He was born February 1, 1949, in Sidney to the late LeRoy L. and Esther L. (Swineheart) Regula.

David married Sheryl E. Wren on July 24, 1982, and she survives in Maplewood.

Also surviving are children: DeLynn (Jim) Epperly of Wapakoneta; Derek T. (Donna) Regula of Ft. Loramie; Jeffrey (Lisa) Wren of Perry, Ohio; Brad (Beverly) Wren of Jackson Center; ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren; brother, Randall (Patricia) Regula of Maplewood; sisters, Gayetta Regula of Maplewood and Brenda Warner of St. Paris; and many nieces and nephews.

David was a lifelong member of the Shelby County Deer Hunters and the NRA Associations. He retired after thirty-seven years of faithful service at Acusport in Bellefontaine, Ohio. David enjoyed traveling out west and Africa for shooting expeditions.  He also enjoyed camping, target shooting, deer hunting, watching restorative car shows as well as Gunsmoke on television. David was of the Christian faith.  He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed his two puppies:  Sunny and Missy. He also enjoyed his many good friends that he made while working in the fire arms industry.

Family and friends may visit on Friday, February 1, 2019 from 4 P.M.– 8 P.M. at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney, Ohio.  This date also celebrates his seventieth birthday.   Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019, at 11:00 A.M.  at the funeral home with Pastor Joe Pumphrey officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in DeGraff, Ohio.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association and/or the American Cancer Society in David’s memory.
