Charles Everett (Chuck) Johnson, age 76, of Botkins, Ohio went to his eternal home on June 6, 2018 at 4:37 pm. Chuck passed away with his wife at his side, after a lingering illness.
Chuck was born March 23, 1942 in Troy, Ohio. He graduated from Troy, Ohio High School in 1960.
On October 12, 1968, he married Patricia Ann (VanHook) Johnson. She survives with their three daughters, Brandice (Jonathan) Braunstein of Wapakoneta, Ohio; Megan (Jason) Rumbaugh of Lima, Ohio; and Melanie (Jeffrey) Reichelderfer of Cridersville, Ohio. He is also survived by a daughter Melody (Steve) Richardson of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida and a sister Janet (Larry) Tasker of Natural Bridge, New York. He is preceded in death by a sister, Lois (Robert) Hedges and his parents Marie (Bishop) and Arthur Johnson. As well, he is survived by beloved grandchildren.
For many years, he was an attending member of Full Gospel Community Church in Sidney, where he was baptized by then Pastor Ralph Stallard. Through Chuck’s many illnesses in his lifetime, his trust in the Lord Jesus Christ never wavered. He was a man of quiet prayer.
The occupation in his life was automobile sales and later, real estate sales for Steenrod Realty. This gave him the opportunity to meet people which he thoroughly enjoyed. His great interest and love was his faith and family, and he was a lifetime fan of the Cincinnati Reds and Ohio State University football, no matter what kind of season they had. His personal motto was to give people a smile.
He is so very greatly missed by family who look forward to a heavenly reunion as well as numbers of friends Chuck knew over many years.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney. Funeral services will follow visitation, with Pastor Jon Braunstein officiating. Burial after service will be in Graceland Cemetery, County Rd. 25-A, Sidney, Ohio.
