William T. Johnson

William (Bill) T. Johnson, age 69, of Anna, passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2022, at his residence.  He was born on August 21, 1953, in Prestonsburg, KY, to the late William C. and Monica (Harris) Johnson.  On April 21, 1973, he married Carla (Minnehan) Johnson and she survives.

In addition to his wife, William is survived by three children: Christina (Jeremy) Bonar of Troy, Thomas “TJ” (Tanya) Johnson of Troy and Kimberlee (Matt) Koverman of Anna; ten grandchildren: Landon Johnson, Owen Johnson, Bryce Smith, Cortney Bonar, Emalyn Johnson, Lottie Koverman, Brady Harris-Johnson, Carson Bonar, Carter Harris and Stella Koverman; and one brother: George Johnson of Seymour, TN.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers: Gary Johnson, Rex Harris and Ricky Harris.

William attended Faith Baptist Church and Solid Rock Church.  He retired from Alcoa as a system analyst after 35 years.  He was a former member of the F & AM Lodge 73 in Sidney.  William enjoyed playing guitar, singing and fishing.  He followed the Cincinnati Reds, Pittsburg Steelers, UK “Big Blue” basketball and UD basketball.  William’s biggest love was spending time with his family, especially his wife, children and grandchildren.

Graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, September 9, 2022, at Pearl Cemetery in Anna with Pastor Chad Inman officiating.  Family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Thursday at Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney.
