Robert Thomas

Robert Wayne Thomas, age 74, of Jackson Center, passed away on Monday, June 27, 2022, at his residence.  He was born on May 10, 1948 in Shelby County to the late Frank “Hank” and Claudine (Miller) Thomas  On February 18, 1972, he married Marilyn (Crosley) Thomas and she survives.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons: Cole (Olga) Thomas of Chicago, and Brock (Tiffany) Thomas of Sidney; one daughter: Kylee (Thomas) Close of Jackson Center; one brother: Ed Thomas of Lakeview; one sister: Mary (Joe) Baker of Lakeview; and grandchildren: Maison Thomas, Jordan Thomas, Taylar Stephens, Wyatt Stephens, Adrianna Close and Brynn Thomas.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son: Blake Thomas; and one grandson: Andrew Close.

Robert attended Rhine Catholic Church in Botkins.  He was a graduate of Piqua High School.  Robert retired after 48 years from Airstream in Jackson Center.  He was a member of AmVets of Indian Lake and VFW of Jackson Center.  Robert loved golf and the Cleveland Browns.  Robert proudly served his country as a member of the US Army, serving in Vietnam.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, July 1, 2022, at Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney, OH.  Burial will be in Glen Cemetery in Port Jefferson with full military honors provided by Shelby County Veterans and the US Army.  Family will receive friends from 11:00 Am – 1:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
