Robert Eugene Ganger

Robert Eugene “Bob” Ganger, age 72, of Sidney, passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at his residence.  He was born on June 18, 1950, in Miami County to the late William M. and Bertha (Watkins) Ganger.  On April 5, 1969, Bob married Brenda L. (Boyer) Ganger and she survives.

In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by two children: Teresa R. Kelly and Cheryl (Dave) Shoemaker, both of Sidney; grandchildren: GSGT Levi (Catosha) Smith, Samantha (Peter) Montgomery, Michaela Kelly, Nick (Taylor) Shoemaker and Noah Shoemaker; great grandchildren: Elias Boland and Jaxyn Bennion; and siblings: Paulina Ganger of Piqua, Brenda Ward of Piqua, Steve Ganger of Houston, Greg (Tammy) Ganger of Houston and Shirley (Scott) Cantrell of Panama, FL.  In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by one sister: Carol Ganger.

Bob was a retired custom cabinet maker.  He enjoyed woodworking, metal fabrication work, barbequing outside and rebuilding antique tractors and cars.   Bob also enjoyed shooting muzzle loaders and cheering for the Bengals, Reds and NASCAR.  Above all else, Bob loved spending time with his grandchildren and watching their sporting events.  He was a very talented man that could fix almost anything.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney, OH with Pastor Doug Thobe officiating.  Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery in Sidney.  Family will receive friends from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
