Philip E. VanHook

Philip E. Van  Hook, age 63, of Sidney, entered into eternal rest with his wife of 41 years, Tammy Davis Van Hook and son Alex Garner Van Hook.  He was born on March 24, 1959, in Sidney to Mary (Phelps) Van Hook of Sidney and the late Carl Garner Van Hook.

In addition to his Mother, he is survived by two children: Eric Tyler (Anna) Van Hook of Sidney and Asley (Tomas) Neal of Piqua; six grandchildren: Hailey Nicole Van Hook, Alyvia Dunn, Quentin Neal, Cleveland Neal, Lucy Neal and Jet Neal; two grandchildren: Layla Atwood and Briar Atwood; siblings: Bike (Melinda) Van Hook of Sidney, Steve (Tina) Van Hook of Sidney and Richard Van Hook of Hillsboro, OH; mother-in-law: Marge Davis; and brothers-ion-law: Terry Davis and Horbin Brown.  In addition to his father and son, he was preceded in death by  two brother: Joel Van Hook and Tim Van Hook.

Philip retired from Aunt Millie’s Bakery.  He enjoyed music and writing songs.  Philip also enjoyed fishing and fixing things.  He was an avid fan of Cincinnati Reds, Dallas Cowboys and the Lakers.  Philip was a Jehovah Witness.
