Paul Emerson Young

PAUL EMERSON YOUNG, age 81, passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at Fairhaven Nursing Home in Sidney.  He was born on October 16, 1939 in Anna, OH to the late Karl and Gladys (Woodruff) Young.  On August 31, 1957, he married Carol Saintignon at the Holy Angels Rectory and she survives.

In addition to his wife, Paul is survived by four children: Debra (Larry) Motsinger, Larry Young and Tamara (Don) Herring, all of Sidney, and Heidi Kleiber of Anna; grandchildren: Jody Clark, Misty Holthaus, Jackie Fishbaugh, Bryce Kleiber, Jordan Young, Ashley Kleiber, Seth Young, Daniel Herring, Christopher Herring and Amy Reffner; and six great grandchildren.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son: Darren Young; two sisters: Phyllis Young and Patricia Maxwell; and one brother: Richard Young.

Paul was of the Methodist faith.  He retired from Wagner Manufacturing after 40 years, where he was President of the Union for many years.  Paul was an avid Browns and OSU fan.  GO BUCKS!  He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.  Paul enjoyed getting into the Red Van with his wife and traveling around the United States seeing sights like the Grand Canyon.  He was a member of the Wednesday Night Industrial League at Bel Mar Lanes for over 30 years.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 15, 2021 at Graceland Cemetery with Pastor Jim Oakes officiating.
