Maurice A. Ickes, Jr.

Maurice A. Ickes, Jr., age 52, of 1001 Fourth Avenue, Lot 57, Sidney, passed away August 4, 2020.

He was born September 15, 1967 in Auglaize County, Ohio, to the late Maurice A. Ickes Sr. and Bonnie (Gruden) Ickes. On September 12, 1992, he married Kelli (Gates) Ickes and she survives in Sidney.

Also surviving is son Maurice A. Ickes III of Dayton and daughter Allison M. Ickes of Sidney, and sister Jenny Kohler of Delphos.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Jay Ickes.

Maurice was of the Christian faith. He was a 1986 graduate of Spencerville High School, Spencerville, Ohio. He was employed at Napa Auto Parts, Sidney, for many years. Maurice was a talented mechanic and loved to work on automobiles.  He was an avid reader, reading newspapers etc., but he especially loved Harry Potter books. He loved spending time with his family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

There will be no calling hours. Graveside services will be held at a later date at the discretion of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney.
