KAREN A. KEETON was called home to her Lord and Savior on January 8, 2021 after a short illness. She was born on January 23, 1954 in Dayton, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her parents: Blair and Lilas (Barth) Tayloe; her stepmother: Laverne Fogel; and adoptive parents: Anne and San Reagel.
Karen is survived by adoptive family: George and Judy Snodgrass, Jamie Arnold, George, Lexy and Haylee Snodgrass and Steve, Angie, Luke and Emily Stepler.
Karen retired in 2018 from the Kroger Company as an assistant meat department manager. In her earlier years, Karen helped manage her family auto repair business. Karen attended Antioch University and Sinclair, where she studied business and nutrition. Karen had a heart for the underdog, often helping people who many wouldn’t give a second glance. Many times, Karen would send money anonymously to those she knew had a need. Karen knew and loved the Lord and served Him in many ways over the years. She taught Sunday School, worked in and with women’s’ groups and worked in soup kitchens feeding the poor. Karen spent time serving in the Mission Teens International by helping teen with addiction and homelessness.
Karen loved her family and enjoyed family events, vacation and all the love and laughter. She greatly enjoyed researching recipes and trying them out on the family. Karen loved to travel, often spending time in Florida and visiting many wonderful places while going on cruises. Karen enjoyed reading and listening to music, which include classical, 70’s and 80’s rock and Christian genres. She enjoyed going to theater productions from a very early age.
Karen will be missed more than she will ever know. Karen loved and was loved. She loved worship and being in the presence of God. Fly Free Karen!
