Bertha Jean Jones

Bertha Jean Jones, age 81, of Sidney, was called home on January 11, 2023, at her residence.  She was born February 1, 1941, in Sidney to the late Edgar and Christine (Stockton) White.

Bertha is survived by six children: Curtis Johnson, Gerald Johnson, Roxanne Johnson, Dawn (Curtis) Everett and Stacey White, all of Sidney, and Charles White of Columbus; twenty seven grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; four siblings: Edgar (Carolyn) White, Jr., of Marion, Barbara White of Sidney, Christine Baucom of Toledo and Rodney (Melissa) Franklin of Fairfield; two sisters-in-law: Glenda White of Sidney and Gayle Jones of Piqua; special bonus son: Kevin Foy; and Special Friend: Doug Leslie.  She was preceded in death by three children: Carlos White, Gloria Johnson and Rita Johnson; five siblings; and one brother-in-law.

Bertha was employed by Copeland Corporation, where she retired in 2003 with 32 years of service.  She was a faithful member of Mt. Zion House of Prayer in Sidney.  Bertha loved spending time with her family and her church family.  She was a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys and The Ohio State Buckeyes.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 20, 2023, at Mt. Zion House of Prayer, 324 Grove Street, Sidney, with Pastor Willie T. McGhee officiating.  Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery in Sidney.  Family will receive friends from 4:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, January 19, 2023, at Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney.
