Anita M (Mullins) Nelson

Anita M. Nelson, age 71, of Sidney, passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at Shelby Skilled Nursing Rehab in Sidney.  She was born on July 14, 1950 in Fayetteville, West Virginia, to the late John Mullins and Opal Marie (Combs) Mullins.

On November 27, 1970,  she married James E. Nelson who preceded her in death on December 1, 2014.

Anita is survived by two children, Alisha Nelson Johnson and Travis Edmond Nelson, grandchildren; Braiden Lee Johnson, Adalynn Nichole Ludwig, Elijah James Nelson, Corbin James Ludwig, Jaynah King, Jerimyah Nelson, siblings; Sharon Moles of Mt. Hope, West Virginia, Terri Stanley, Tina Bays and Benjamin Mullins of Fayetteville, West Virginia, many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

Anita worked at Copeland Corporation in Sidney for many years. She was also a waitress at Frisch’s restaurant in Troy. Anita was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Sidney, a devout Christian lady who enjoyed telling children about Jesus Christ.  She spent many years doing primitive crafting as a hobby.  She loved spending time with her family and grandkids and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Family and friends may visit on Monday, July 26, 2021 from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Rd., Sidney.  Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Earl Shaffer officiating.  Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery, Sidney.
