Steven Helton

Steven (Steve) Helton, age 47, of Port Jefferson, passed away on May 2, 2018.  He was born September 21, 1970, in Elkhart, Indiana to Clarence “Bug” Helton and Virginia “Vergie” (Compton) Helton.

Steve is survived by children; Steven N. Helton II, Destiny Helton, Jazmin Aguirre of Sidney,

Brandon Helton of Detroit, MI., his significant other, Debbie Aguirre of Sidney, four grandchildren; Tucker L. Cox-Helton, Samuel S. Helton, Damian J. Fogt and Selena A. Johnson, brothers; Jerry (Brenda) Browning, Fred (Brenda) Browning, and sisters; Linda Browning and Wanda (George) Fahnestock.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Virginia Helton and brother, Dwayne Helton.

Steve was a longtime member of The Cleveland Browns Backers and an avid Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland sports fan.  He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and friends, and will be missed by all who knew him.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 11, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at the Northtowne Church of God, 2008 Wapakoneta Avenue, Sidney.  The service will begin at 3:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Adams Funeral Home to help offset funeral expenses.

The staff of Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney, has been entrusted with all funeral arrangements.
