Robert Baker Obituary

Robert A. Baker, age 92, of Sidney, passed away on Friday, June 29, 2018 at Wilson Health.  He was born on July 7, 1925 in Dayton to the late Fredrick and Margaret (Upton) Baker.  On February 2, 1946, he married Lois (Good) Baker.  She survives.

Robert is survived by children: Joan Bey of Troy, Bonnie Silverthorn of Piqua, John (Joyce) Baker of Troy, Bobbi Stauffer and Debbie Baker, both of Sidney; 15 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter: Phyllis Wilks; and numerous brothers and sisters.

Robert attended Cornerstone Assembly of God Church in Sidney.  He was an avid Cincinnati Reds and Ohio State fan enjoyed camping.  Robert proudly served his country as a member of the US Army Air Corps during WW II.  He retired as an insurance salesman for Mutual of Omaha.

Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at Adams Funeral Home in Sidney with Pastor Harry Peterson officiating.  Burial will follow in Miami Memorial Park in Covington.  Full military honors will be provided by Sidney American Legion Post 217.  Friends may call from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
