Charles E. Lawson, age 73 of Sidney, passed away Saturday, November 10, 2018. He was born September 26, 1945 in Sidney, Ohio to father Everett Lawson and mother Margaret (Dunn) Lawson who preceded him in death. He married Belinda M. (Dresback) Lawson on November 11, 1967 and she survives.
Charles is survived by children Jason Lawson of Sidney, Mitch (Amanda) Lawson of Dayton; grandchildren Loganne Lawson, and Sam Lawson. He was preceded in death by one brother (Tom). He retired from Stole Precision Tool Company in Sidney after many years of faithful service, was a 1963 graduate of Sidney High School, and was a member of the Sidney Moose Lodge. A lifelong lover of bluegrass music, he was an Earl Scruggs style banjo player and one of the best in the area. He enjoyed playing Mario Kart with his grandchildren and eventually achieved a 3-Gold-Star rating on all tracks. He loved a good chat, a good cup of coffee, a cold beer, and his family. He sadly passed away a day before his 51st wedding anniversary. Charlie will be deeply missed by those who loved him and will always be remembered in the hearts of his family members.
