Timothy Powers Obituary

Timothy Powers, (63), of Anna, OH, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his family. Timothy, fondly known as Tim, was born on September 3, 1960, in Sidney, OH. He attended Sidney High School, then proudly served his country as a member of the US Army (76Y10 Unit/Org Supply Specialist) stationed in Fort Carson, CO. Tim loved his family dearly; his sons and grandchildren most of all. Playing with his grandchildren and sneaking them candy brought him the utmost joy. He enjoyed being outdoors, messing around in his garage or working on his house and landscaping projects, as well as chipping golf balls around the yard with his sons. His passion was collecting Sports cards and Hot Wheels cars. His collection brought many smiles to his face and enjoyed showing off his collection to friends and family. Tim was of the Christian Faith (Saved on 1/4/1990 and Baptized 1/7/1990).

Tim is survived by his parents JB and Ruby (Sparks) Powers; Former Spouse: Deloris (Roe) Powers; Children: Brandon (Leslie) Powers, Jordan (Jaclyn) Powers, Joseph (Jessica) Powers all of Anna; Grandchildren: Whitney, Erika, Mason, Charley, Henry, Uriah, Jayclyn, and another one on the way; Brother: Curt Powers of Vandalia; Sisters: Kimberly Haynes of Sidney and Annette (Ron) Fortener of Wilmington. Tim fought his battle against Pancreatic Cancer for five long years. Despite spending much of that time in and out of the hospital, he never lost his sense of humor. Throughout his entire journey, he cracked jokes with his children and made silly faces with his grandchildren. He had a great ability to make others laugh and his sense of humor will be missed.

Tim’s Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at Piqua Baptist Church; located at 1402 West High Street, Piqua OH 45356 with Pastor Jamie Wellman officiating. Full military honors will be presented by US Army and Shelby County Veterans following the Celebration of Life. Family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00AM on Thursday at the church. Donations may be made to Piqua Baptist Church. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.theadamsfuneralhome.com.
