Ernest A. Brooks

Ernest A Brooks, age 75, of Sidney, passed away on April 15, 2024, at Fair Haven Nursing Home in Sidney.  He was born June 1, 1948, in LaFollette, Tennessee, to the late Edgar & Clara Hickey Brooks.  In September of 1969, he married Janice Martin Brooks who survives. They have 3 children: Robert Lawrence (Tom Martinelli) from Torrington, CT, Timothy (Crystal) Lawrence of Piqua, OH and Tonya (Ray) Moorman of Piqua, OH.  

Ernest also leaves behind 5 grandchildren:  Justin, Ryan, Zach, Erik and Aja.

Ernest was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Maudie Belle Prim, Charlene Jones, Jim Brooks and Richard (Dick) Brooks.

Ernest retired from Main Line Road & Bridge after 30 years.  Ernest was of the Southern Baptist faith.  He enjoyed doing yard work and was blessed with family, friends and grandchildren.

Services will be held on April 19th with calling hours from 9:30 am to 11:00 am at Adams Funeral Home of Sidney at 1401 Fair Road.  Burial to follow at Glen Cemetery in Port Jefferson.  Pastor Jeff Hill will be officiating.
