WAYNE COLLINS, age 65 of Sidney, passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2016 at his residence. He was born in Smithboro, KY on February 26, 1951 to Arnold and Emogene (Short) Collins.
Wayne is survived by his companion: Kimberly Butt of Piqua; one sister: Velma (Bernard) Moser of Sidney; two nieces: Genora Moser and Amber (Collins) Bower; four great nephews: and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother: Frank Collins.
Wayne graduated from Piqua High School in 1968. He proudly served in the US Marine Corps from 1969-1973, serving two years in the Vietnam War. Wayne worked over 30 years in construction, 20 of them in Florida. He was a care free individual who enjoyed life and spending time with his many friends and family members.
Memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, September 9, 2016 at Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney, OH with Rev. Phillip Chilcoate officiating. Friends may call for one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to any Veteran’s Organization or in support of our currently active and deployed troops.
