SHIRLEY R. OPPERMAN, age 76, of Anna, passed away on Monday, July 3, 2017 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Minster. She was born on October 2, 1940 in Sidney to the late Vernon and Helen (Wones) Wilt. On June 18, 1960, she married Paul Opperman and he survives.
Shirley is also survived by her children and their spouses: David and Kimberly Vetter of Wapakoneta, Steven Opperman of Sidney; Michael and Anne Opperman, Mark and Jill Opperman and Gregory and Kathryn Opperman, all of Anna; one brother and sister-in-law: Richard and Karen Wilt of Jackson Center. fourteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and her beloved Boston Terrier: Molly.
Shirley was a 1958 graduate of Jackson Center High School. She collected Boston Terrier cast iron door stops. Shirley and her husband, Paul, owned and operated L & O Tire Service in Anna for many years. Her favorite past time was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Glen Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Adams Funeral Home in Sidney.
