Paul E. Frank, age 82, of Sidney, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at his residence. He was born August 4, 1934 in Saint Paris, Ohio to Floyd C. and Rebekah Frank. He was married to Arbadella Bowling on August 28, 1954 and she survives.
Paul and Arbie have 6 sons: Steven (Joyce) Frank of Dayton, Ron (Diane) Frank of Jackson Center, Kevin (Juanita) Frank of Sidney, Jonathan (Lori) Frank of Sidney, Timothy Frank of Columbus, and Christopher Frank of Columbus, Ohio. He has 14 grandchildren: Marcus Frank of Dayton, Ross Frank of Vandalia, Megan Brideweser of Lima, Daniel Frank of Jackson Center, Rebekah Frank, Kevin Junior Frank, Paula Frank, Joshua Frank, Madison Frank, Reagan Frank, Aspen Frank and Avery Frank, all in Sidney and Trinity Frank and Eliot Frank of Columbus Ohio; and one great grandchild: Brittain Frank. Also surviving are one sister: Roberta Corner of St. Paris and several nieces and nephews. Paul was preceded in death by one sister: Dortha June Frank and Grandson: Derek Brideweser.
Paul loved his family, enjoyed traveling and going to church. He was a member of the Sidney Wesleyan Church for 57 years and also a member of the Shelby County Gideon’s for 30 years. He was an optician for 60 years and owned Main Optical located in downtown Piqua, Ohio for 50 years. He apprenticed many people that are in the optical industry today.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Adams Funeral Home in Sidney with Pastor Chad Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Point Cemetery in Pasco. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home. There will be a gathering after the funeral at Sidney First Nazarene Church located at 1899 Wapakoneta Ave. Sidney, Ohio 43565 at 1:30 pm.
