Michael D Jones

Michael D. Jones, of 1200 Cinnamon Ridge Lane, Sidney, passed away at Fair Haven under Wilson Health Hospice Care on December 11, 2017.

He was born February 1, 1950, in Sidney, the son of the late Kathryn (Clark) Jones and Albert F. Jones.

He is survived by his loving wife, Darla (Smith), the love of his life. Together they had 41 wonderful years of marriage.  He is also survived by two children, whom he loved very much, Robert L. (Amy) Jones of Piqua, Rachel (Roger) Garber of Sidney, four beautiful grandchildren, whom he loved very much,  Kyle L. Jones. Mackenzie Jones, Savanna and Madison Garber, all of Sidney, brother, Randall (Mary) Jones of Sidney, sister, Marilyn Baker of Sidney and many nieces and nephews.

Michael was preceded in death by one brother, Scott D. Jones.

Michael retired from Copeland Corp. of Sidney.  He was a veteran of the United States Army where he was a Specialist Four Field Wireman. Michael’s greatest joy was seeing and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and also fishing alongside the love of his wife, Darla. He loved watching Nascar racing and watching football. He would always say “Go Bucks”. He was a member of the Trinity Church of the Brethren of Sidney.  He loved his church family.

Family and friends may call on Thursday, December 14, 2017 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Arnold Collett officiating.  Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery with full military honors preformed by Sidney American Legion Post 217.

The staff of Adams Funeral Home has been entrusted with all funeral arrangements.
