Max Leland Overholser, age 86, of Sidney, passed away November 15, 2016, at the Dayton VA Medical Center.
Max was born January 27, 1930 in Logan County, Ohio, to the late Cletus L. and Ilo (Underwood) Overholser.
He was married on July 6, 1974 to Judith (Briggs) Overholser, and she survives.
Max is also survived by children; Wesley Overholser of Sidney, Alan and Claire Toukan Overholser of Westerville, Ohio, Jeff and Donna Overholser of Florida, and Janis and Brad Taylor of Miami, Florida, (2) grandchildren and brother, Paul Overholser.
Max proudly served in the U S Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a Protestant. He retired after 30 years as Engineer for Dayton Power & Light. He was an avid student of the bible. He enjoyed sports especially Ohio State Football. He was a member of the Sidney American Legion Post #217.
Full military services will be performed on November 29, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Cedar Point Cemetery, Pasco. There will be no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Dayton VA Hospice Unit, 4100 West Third Street, Dayton, Ohio.
