MARY ELLEN SWOB, age 66, of Sidney, passed away on Monday, August 28, 2017 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. She was born on March 6, 1951 in Sidney to Katherine (Konz) Dunn of Sidney and the late Franklin Dunn. Mary married William F. Swob and he preceded her in death on March 26, 2017.
Mary is survived by five children: Stacie (Gerald) Edwards of Sidney, Ralph E. (Theresa M.) Swob of Covington, Roy E. Swob of West Manchester, Melissa Jeffers of Bradford and Michelle Swob of Troy; fifteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and siblings: Ann I. (Donnie) Bailey of Jackson Center, Bonnie (Steve) Latimer of Sidney and Andy (Penny) Dunn of Clarksville, TN. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one son: William Franklin Swob, Jr.
Mary was a member of First Baptist Church in Bradford. She was a member of Loyal Order of Moose and Fraternal Order of Eagles #1403 in Sidney. Mary retired from Copperweld. She enjoyed watching Hallmark Channel and The Bold and the Beautiful and getting her nails done. Most of all, Mary loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, September 1, 2017, at Adams Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Lynch officiating. Burial will follow in Shelby Memory Gardens in Sidney. Friends may call from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
