MARY CATHERINE MCKIBBEN, age 74, of Sidney, went to home to be with her Lord on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Sidney Care Center. She was born in Sidney on January 2, 1942 to the late Ted and Bertha (Glick) Smith.
Mary is survived by one daughter: Denise (Dale) McCune of Sidney; one son: Dana (Jennifer) McKibben of Sidney; and five grandchildren: Ashley McCune, Zachary McKibben, Haleigh McKibben, Dani McKibben and DeAnna McKibben. She was preceded n death by one son: Dan McKibben; and one sister: Ruth Helminger; and one brother: William Smith.
Mary was very active in Trinity Church of the Brethren in Sidney. She was a retired preschool teacher. Mary was very involved with Tender Hearts Day Care and Learn and Play Day Care, both in Sidney. She loved her animals, especially her cat, “Shiner”, and her flowers.
Memorial services will be held at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Adams Funeral Home in Sidney with Rev. Harold McKnight officiating. Friends may call from 3:00-6:00 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home
