Marvin J. "Moe" Murray

MARVIN J. “MOE” MURRAY, age 64, of Anna, formerly of Sidney, passed away at his residence on Saturday, November 28, 2015.  He was born on December 5, 1950 in Clinton, TN to the late Elvin and Vivian (Hammons) Murray. 

Moe is survived by two daughters; Tamara (Joseph) Workman and Misty (Jim Bob) Walkup, both of West Virginia; two sisters: Betty Spaugy of Anna and Velma (Marvin) Crim of Sidney; five grandchildren; one great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by one sister: Irene Scott; and one brother: Jimmy Murray.

Moe proudly served his country as a member of the US Army during the Vietnam War.  He was of the Baptist faith.  Moe worked in transportation and was a truck driver for many years.  He loved to go hunting and fishing.  Moe also loved to throw horseshoes, dice and play cornhole.  He loved spending time with his family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at Adams Funeral Home in Sidney with Rev. Preston Knasel officiating.  Burial will follow in Shelby Memory Gardens in Sidney.  Full military honors will be presented at the cemetery.  Friends may call from 6-8 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
