LOIS K. MOORMAN, age 82, of Sidney, passed away on Friday, April 21, 2017 at Dorothy Love Retirement Center in Sidney. She was born on July 25, 1934 to the late Fred and Olive (Miller) Nolte. On March 20, 1965, she married George C. Moorman and he preceded her in death on October 17, 2010.
Lois is survived by one brother: Bob (Blanche) Nolte of Sidney; one sister: Doris (Jerry) Coverstone of Sidney; one step daughter: Cynthia Rice of Dayton; grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers: Ken Nolte, Ray Nolte and Paul Nolte; one sister: Norma McPheron; and one step daughter: Christine Moorman.
Lois was a 1952 graduate of Sidney High School. She was a lifetime member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Sidney. Lois was employed for 50 years at Elsass, Wallace, Evans, Schnelle & Co. in Sidney. During her employment there, she served as a legal secretary, a bookkeeper and an office manager. Lois enjoyed country music, country concerts, and crossword puzzles and was an avid reader. She collected Longaberger Baskets. Lois loved her two labs, Sammie and Duke. For 5 years, Lois lived at Dorothy Love Retirement Center, where she enjoyed playing bingo and taking part in all their activities.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at Adams Funeral Home in Sidney with Pastor James Oates officiating. Burial will follow in St. Henry Cemetery in St. Henry, OH. Friends may call from 5:00-7:00 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
