Kenneth Richard "Dick" Ball

Kenneth Richard Ball, known to his family and friends as Dick, passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2017, at the age of 79.  He was the son of the late Kenneth and Laura (Johnson) Ball.

A native of Sidney, Ohio, he graduated from Sidney High School in 1957, and went on to serve in the 101st Airborne Division of the United States Army.  In 1993, he retired after a thirty-two year career with United Parcel Service.  He was a member of the American Legion and the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marianne (Moloney), children Richard (Constance), Russia, Ohio;  Mark (Deanna), Russia, Ohio;  Susan Hartman (Roger), Loveland, Ohio; and eight grandchildren, Derek, Christopher (fiancé Jacqueline Niekamp), Colin, Lindsay (fiancé Bryan Coffey), Caleb, Andrew, Jordan Ball, and Nathan Hartman.  He is also survived by his sister Lee Alice Heintz (Ernest), sister Rebecca Shepard (James), and brother Thad Ball (Mary).

Services will be held Wednesday from 5:00-8:00 PM at Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney, Ohio.  A Mass and Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Frank Amberger, Thursday at 10:30 AM at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 324 South Ohio Avenue, Sidney, Ohio.   Interment will be at Graceland Cemetery in Sidney.  Full military services provided by the American Legion Post 217.
