John Robert Petty, 71 of 4774 Hardin Wapakoneta Road, Sidney, OH passed away September 29, 2015 at the Wilson Health Emergency Room.
He was born October 18, 1943 in Framingham, Massachusetts; a son of the late John Ronald Petty and Miriam Hennrikus Petty. He was married on February 14, 1994 to Vanessa Hughes Petty.
He is survived by two daughters, Will and Lisa Rudolph, Bradenton, FL and Tim and Lynda Rose, Columbus, OH, and 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He is survived by siblings Ray and Sue Petty of Kenton, OH, Paul and Norma Christy, Port Saint Luce, FL, Ed and Nancy Grumman, West Liberty, OH and Del and Barbara Papineau, Rhode Island. He was preceded in death by brothers Charles Petty and David Petty.
John was a member of the Crossroad Church of God, Piqua, OH and worked in Quality Control for Copeland, Inc. and also worked at Stolle Machinery Company. John loved spending time with his grandchildren and family.
Private graveside services will be held at Greenwood Union Cemetery, DeGraff, OH. There will be no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in John’s name to: Houston Ohio Rescue Squad or the Lockington Fire Department.
