GORDON R. BAILEY, age 85, of Sidney, passed away Thursday, January 28,2016 at Wilson Health Emergency Room in Sidney. He was born on May 10, 1930 in Long Island, NY to the late Mildred Lambert Bailey. On August 12, 1961, he married Mary Theresa Boecker. She preceded him in death on April 8, 2000.
Gordon is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law: Ann and John Sicker of Columbus, OH and Jill and Brian Kowitzke of Atlanta, GA; and four grandchildren.
Gordon proudly served his country as a member of the US Air Force during the Korean War. He loved to cook, loved to take long walks around town and loved fine wine. He was a graduate of Purdue University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Gordon was a self employed sales representative.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, February 8, 2015 at Graceland Cemetery in Sidney. Full military honors will be presented at the graveside by the Sidney American Legion Post 217. Arrangements have been entrusted to Adams Funeral Home in Sidney.
