Glenda S. Phyillaier, age 74 of Sidney, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2018, at Upper Valley Medical Center Emergency Room. She was born on May 20, 1943 in Joplin, Missouri to Tommy and Lena (Brown) Looney who preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Brooke. Glenda married Lewis R. Phyillaier of Sidney on June 24, 1961 who survives. Glenda was a member of Lockington United Methodist Church and was the former 4-H sewing advisor for several years. She worked in the Hardin School cafeteria and Uhlman’s Department Store in Piqua. She was a homemaker who enjoyed spending her free time solving word search puzzles, sewing, knitting, crocheting, and shopping. She loved to babysit her grandkids, great grandkids, and other neighborhood children. She considered taking care of her family to be her most important job. Her kids and her husband were always her number one priority. When her grandchildren and great grandchildren were born, it was important to her to be able to help take care of them as much as she could. She is survived by her children Ronald (Lisa) Phyillaier of Troy, Kenneth (Tina) Phyillaier of Sidney, Lisa (Jeff) Jenkins of Sidney, brothers Thomas (Chris) Looney of Vacaville, CA, Jack (Vickie) Looney of Woodland, CA, grandchildren Amber, Katie, Sarah, Matt, Jordan, Brandan, Drew, Ashley, Megan, fourteen great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call Thursday, March 8, 2018 from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home in Sidney. Funeral services will be officiated by Pastor Bill Halter on Friday March 9, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Adams Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Shelby Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lockington United Methodist Church in Glenda’s memory.
