Ed Kennedy

Ed Kennedy 78, of Sidney passed away Friday, November 27, 2015 at Wilson Health. He was born January 27, 1937 in Lawrenceburg, TN to Elias & Vesta Kennedy. On June 26, 1960 he married Patsy Thomas Kennedy and she survives, other survivors include children Kimberly James (Russell Gregory) of Lousiville, KY & Karmel Grieshop (Darren Clark) of Sidney; grandchildren Kandi (Randy) Astry, Ashley (Eric) Sylwestrak , Michael (Brandi) Morrison, Kyle (Kylee) Kohli, and Coty Grieshop; 9 great grandchildren MaJessa, Gracie-Mae, Kaleena, Zofia, Brayden, Zarek, Hayden, and Riley; sisters Ava Beville of Silver Spring, FL, Patsy (Benny) York of Polk City, FL. He was preceded in death by his daughter Krina Adams, great grandson Camden Astry, and 5 sisters. Ed worked as a metal fabricator in Sidney for many years, and was a Turtle Creek Township trustee. He was a member of the Hardin United Methodist Church and Gateway Square Dancing club. Ed was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed coyote hunting as well as deer hunting, but most of all he was a loving family man who cared deeply for his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Rev. Jack Chalk will officiate a funeral service 11:00a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2015 at the Adams Funeral Home 1401 Fair Rd., Sidney. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 4:00p.m. – 7:00p.m. Monday, Nov. 30 at The Adams Funeral Home. Burial will be in Shelby Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed towards Hardin United Methodist Church 6073 Hardin Wapakoneta Rd., Sidney, Ohio 45365.
