Dorothy “Dot” Caroline Stengel, age 69, of Anna, passed away January 18, 2017 at Wilson Health of Sidney.
She was born August 12, 1947 in Botkins, Ohio to the late Oliver and Frances (Shannon) Kah. On February 19, 1966, she married Homer Stengel and he survives.
Dorothy is survived by daughters; Donna Smith of McCartyville, Marcia (Douglas) Madden of Anna, grandchildren; Ryan Smith, Nicole Smith, Joshua Madden, Derek Madden, siblings; Woodrow (Patricia) Stutsman of Botkins, Louise Poore of Sidney, and sister-in-law Roslyn Stutsman of Botkins.
A brother, Homer Stutsman and sister, Connie Kah preceded her in death.
Dorothy was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sidney, and was employed as Secretary at the Wally Byam Caravan Club of Jackson Center for over 30 years. She helped on the farm, enjoyed shopping, traveling and spending time with her family.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney, with Pastor George Gnade, officiating. Burial will follow at Pearl Cemetery in Swanders. Friends and family may call from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:30 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Sidney in Dorothy’s memory.
