Dorothy J. (Headley) Snider

Dorothy J. Snider, age 83, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2018.

She was born April 13, 1934 in Leonardsburg, Ohio to the late Robert and Ruth Headley. On January 27, 1951, she married Roger N. Snider Jr. and they were married 60 years before Roger passed away.

She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, John D. Adkins and brother, Bobby Headley. Dorothy is survived by a son, Michael (Diane) Snider and a daughter, Debra Adkins, grandchildren Jason (Kelly) Snider, Matthew (Meredith) Snider, Abby (Brian) Wagner, sister, Jo Ann Ingle, brothers, Richard Headley and Donald Headley, and 7 great grandchildren.

Dorothy and Roger enjoyed traveling especially on their family vacations to Myrtle Beach. She enjoyed playing with her granddog Sadie. Her greatest joy was being a wife to Roger and a mom to Mike and Deb. She was a member of First United Methodist Church for over 60 years.

In keeping with her wishes, she will be cremated and Reverend Jane Madden will officiate the graveside service Wednesday, February 28 at 10 A.M. at Shelby Memory Gardens in Hardin.

Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney,  will be serving the Snider family at this time.

Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Children’s Hospital in her memory at 3229 Burnet Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45229.
