Don E. Thompson, age 56, of Sidney, passed away peacefully, August 8, 2017, at St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, Illinois.
He was born on December 15, 1960, in Berlin, Germany, to the late William E. Lee and Marlies (Maruhn) Lee, and she survives in Sidney.
Don is also survived by children; Jace Edwards of Lafayette, Georgia, Jason and Jocelyn Maher of Chattanooga, Tennessee, six grandchildren; Kamron, Jaden, Jordan, Peyton, Chas, Iain, brothers; Mike Lee of Sidney, Ronald Lee of Piqua, Diane Thompson of Berlin, Germany, and niece, Maliyah Jozlyn Lee of Sidney.
Don was a 1978 graduate of Sidney High School. He loved to shoot pool with his friends and was an avid football fan. He was employed as an independent truck driver for over 30 years.
Family and friends may visit on Monday, August 14, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Fred Gillenwater officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery, Sidney.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Adams Funeral Home to help offset funeral costs.
