Arlene D. (Morris) O'Reilly

Arlene D. Morris O’Reilly, 88, of Sidney, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 27, 2015, at the Dorothy Love Retirement Community, with her loving family by her side.

Arlene was born March 8, 1927, in Gilmer County, West Virginia, to the late Lewis E. Morris and Tacey (Wyer) Morris. She was married to James P. O’Reilly on August 6, 1956, and he preceded her in death on November 24, 2006.

Also surviving Arlene are her children, Cheryl Price (Tom) Iiams, Charles ‘Chuck’ (Arlene) Price, Rebecca Price Lofty, all of Sidney, William J. (Valerie) O’Reilly, of Williamsburg, KY; eight grandchildren, Jon Iiams, Douglas (Jessica) Iiams, Myra Iiams, Christy Price, Jody Price, Jeremy Price, Timothy (Andrea) Price, Chelsea O’Reilly; eight great-grandchildren, Jessica Russell, Kelly Russell, Emily Russell, Michael Richards, Larry Iiams, Christopher Iiams, Lilly and Aria Price.

Arlene was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Roy Morris, Loy Morris, Von Bell; sisters: Mary Freisthler, Leola Counts, Leona Stager; and her husband, James P. O’Reilly.

Arlene dedicated her life to her nursing career for over 40 years. She served as a nursing home administrator and had been the owner of the Morris Rest Home, in Sidney and the Anna Nursing Home, Anna. She enjoyed reading and writing in her spare time and staying current on politics. Arlene had a strong faith in the Lord and had been a member of the Christian Tabernacle Church in Sidney for over 60 years. She was a loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother.  She will be deeply missed.

Funeral services for Arlene will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2015, at 10:00 a.m., at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney, with Rev. Charles (Chuck) Price officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4-6  p.m., on Tuesday, September 29, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Streams of Mercy, Africa, P. O. Box 33, Sidney, Ohio, 45365, in Arlene's memory. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
